There are an estimated 641,000 adults aged 60 and older with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (e.g., cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy & those with brain injury). Numbers are projected to double by 2030, coinciding with the population of aging baby boomers.
Experts identify three main criteria of successful aging: health, the maintenance of high cognitive and physical functioning, and active engagement in life.
Easter Seals’ trained staff works hard to create an environment that helps each adult we serve be well, reach their full potential and actively engage in life. We thank Ginger Judge and the Judge Family Fund for providing resources for activities that enrich life by being just plain good old fashioned fun!
