Under the unusual circumstances 2021 continued to host, our 2021 Abilities Shining Luncheon changed location, moving to the safe and distanced setting at InStride Therapy’s outdoor arena on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Photos by Wendy Dewhurst Clark.
On a beautiful Spring afternoon, guests gathered to celebrate the many successes and innovations Easterseals experienced since last year’s ASL which was hosted only days before pandemic shutdown. It was fun to regather, for many for the first time since that day. All in attendance enjoyed a delicious meal served by the Michael’s on East catering team under the billowing, bright décor. A lively auction emceed by CEO Tom Waters, Sights & Sounds Brent Greeno along with ASL favorites Chance and Cody concluded a program that included a recap from Easterseals Board Member Kathy Paulsen, a heartfelt presentation from Easterseals’ Supermom Jessie Risse about son’s experiences with InStride therapies, and also a live hippotherapy demonstration in an adjacent arena described by Easterseals’ Director of Therapy and Partnerships Nicole Murby. As always, a busy program filled with fun, energizing moments that shine a bright light on our wonderful clients and partners.
