
Carole Deitchman, Assistant Director of Behavior Therapy at Easterseals Southwest Florida, is a special educator and board-certified behavior analyst with a Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Caldwell University in New Jersey.
Prior to joining Easterseals, Carole consulted for public schools and private clinics in Florida, Illinois, and New Jersey, where she helped school and clinic staff create socially meaningful programs and multi-tiered systems of positive behavior support for learners from preschool through age 21. She was the Director of Applied Professional Practice in the Department of Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and Clinical Director of REED Academy, a private school for individuals with autism in New Jersey.
Carole’s research interests include using video to teach social skills and self-management. She is particularly interested in measuring the social validity of intervention procedures and collaborating with service providers to help differently-abled people and their families lead happy and meaningful lives.
