Easterseals Academy – Kindergarten
Easterseals Academy is a private, inclusive elementary program. The highly interactive and engaging learning environment meets the needs of learners of all abilities. Easterseals Academy offers low student-to-teacher ratios, small class sizes, and teacher assistants. Technology, evidence-based instructional methods, grade level curriculum, visual arts, music, movement, sensory programming, Spanish, field trips, and community-based instruction provide an enriched elementary experience. Comprehensive educational teams, including ESE certified teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, registered behavior technicians, social workers, and board-certified behavior analysts, provide therapies for children with identified needs. Easterseals Academy accepts McKay, Gardner, and Step Up for Students scholarships.
Easterseals ABA Academy – Primary School (1st – 7th)
ABA Academy and Easterseals Academy will operate a premier school for first-grade through seventh-grade students at its facility at 7555 Claxstrauss Drive in Sarasota. Each student’s current skills are assessed to create measurable goals. These goals are individualized and address the components of instruction, including functional spontaneous communication, social skills, play, and motor skills, cognitive development, functional academic skills and proactive interventions to address challenging behavior. The classrooms have different student-to-teacher ratios, depending on the needs of the students.
Easterseals VIP Academy – Secondary School (8th – 12th)
The Vocational, Introduction, and Preparation (VIP) Academy is an alternative high school program for students fourteen to twenty-two years old (grades 8 through 12+) that are eligible for Exceptional Student Education (ESE) services. The Academy is a contracted school site with the Manatee County School Board, and accepts McKay, Gardner, and Step Up for Students scholarships. It is located at the DeSoto Club of Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County, at 5236 30th Street in Bradenton. VIP focuses on transitioning students to life after high school through life-skills, employment, community and post-secondary instruction. Students gain confidence, attain maximum levels of independence, and develop pre-vocational and vocational skills while participating in a community based instructional program.
