Tracie Makin – Lead Therapist, Infant Toddler Development Specialist

Tracie Makin is the Lead Therapist for Children’s Therapy and an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist. Tracie was born and raised in Delaware, she attended Western Maryland College in Westminster Maryland where she graduated with a B.A. in Sociology & Early Childhood Education. Tracie then moved to North Carolina where she completed & received her AMS Montessori Certification a year after graduating from college. It was then that she began her career as a Montessori Teacher working with children 3-6 years old. After teaching for 8 years, Tracie transitioned into the world of Therapy and Early Intervention. Tracie has been with Easter Seals for over 11 years and is passionate about her work with children & families. Through her Early Intervention work, Tracie is able to coach families, teaching them different strategies to help support & empower them in their home/natural environment. Tracie has experience working with Children who have Autism, Down Syndrome, Speech Delays, Sensory Processing Disorders & those that have Behavior issues, redirecting behavior.
