Meighen Hopton, Assistant Principal & Case Manager, Easterseals Academy
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Meighen moved to the area in 2013. For the last 13 years, she has been employed as a school administrator; serving students with disabilities in primary, secondary, and post-secondary education. Prior to becoming the Assistant Principal of Easterseals Academy, Meighen worked as a Student Support Services Case Manager and Director of Student Disability Services. Meighen also serves diverse learners and students with disabilities as a Special Education/IEP Advocate, Educational Consultant, and School Success Coach, through her privately owned business, which she founded nearly two years ago.
Meighen earned a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in School Psychology from California University. She has also received extensive professional development from various national associations committed to serving individuals with disabilities and creating a standard of excellence in the delivery of student support services.
